It's moments of feeling free...the freedom to chart our course, to learn and grow, to navigate, be brave, push boundaries and to savor life with every breeze and rolling wave. Together.
Our Story
How it all started....
Born and raised in Wisconsin, USA, we first crossed paths during an indoor rock climbing class, and as climbing partners, we quickly realized our shared interests and connection. After a couple of years, we took the plunge into marriage, becoming a blended family of four with two young boys. Our busy family life kept us grounded, but the allure of the water beckoned, and during summertime, we found solace in boating and lake life.
WE NEVER SAILED.
Our adventures initially led us to explore new destinations on cruise ships, until we stumbled upon the idea of chartering a cabin on a sailboat to be closer to the water. The revelation was eye-opening; in 2015, we had our first taste of living aboard a sailing catamaran in the British Virgin Islands, an experience that left us craving more.
WE DISCOVERED A NEW PASSION.
Our passion for boat life exploration grew, and subsequent vacations saw us charting cabins on other sailing catamarans, this time venturing to Grenada and The Grenadine Islands, further deepening our interest and love for this type of adventurous living.
WE BECAME STUDENTS.
The dream of sailing became clear, and we prioritized sailing classes and a lot of additional training, determined to charter "bareboat," taking full command of the vessel – provisioning, cooking, and navigating based on weather conditions. We embraced the challenge, succeeded and were inspired to dream big.
WE SET A NEW LIFE GOAL.
Our next step was to find the perfect sailing catamaran we could comfortably live aboard. In our search, we discovered the enchanting city of Annapolis, MD, USA, also known as America's Sailing Capitol with significant American history and an irresistible charm. During the world's largest in-water sailboat show in October 2019, we set foot on Fountaine Pajot's Elba 45' during her debut in Annapolis, and she instantly became our dreamboat. Frequent tours only confirmed that no other vessel could win our hearts like she did.
WE FOUND HER.
Setting 2024 as our target year for ownership, we felt time was on our side until 2020 brought unexpected changes – increased demand and lead times for sailboats due to the Covid pandemic. In 2021, we weren't quite ready to make the commitment but with a three-year waiting period, we took the plunge and secured a production spot for a new Elba 45'. We're happy we did.
